Looking for an active, low-impact practice after an injury sustained during NCAA soccer, Jonathan found yoga in 2005 and began studying with many of the Bay Area's premier vinyasa teachers including Rusty Wells, Janet Stone, Les Leventhal, Laura Camp and Pradeep Teotia. He completed his 200 hour teacher training through Yoga Tree with Les Leventhal and Destiny Goldsberry and currently teaches his unique brand of deep, vigorous vinyasa regularly in San Francisco and Oakland focusing on core, breath and centering. In 2003 he completed a degree in music production and subsequently released 3 downtempo electro records: Samovar Tea Lounge One (2005), Greenscapes (2007) and Bossa a Trois (2011). 2011 also saw the release of his first house single "Spinnin" with vocalist and dancer Rahan Boxley. "Music is the perfect vehicle for connecting to body and spirit. " He is the co-creator of the "Spinnin" parties held at Project 1 in San Francisco and can also be found DJ-ing at underground parties and local vinyasa classes. His style spans from deep tech house, downtempo to chillout.
Number four of six children, Rahan Boxley has been around entertainment his whole life. Growning up in Cleveland, Ohio, Rahan was exposed to music and dance at an early age with his family. He has performed with West African Dance and theater companies; Dance Africa Dance and African Soul Intl, 'Flexin' Cleveland Popping style group Puppet Mastaz, modern dance company SAFMOD and the YARD, and B-boying, and Freestyling in underground cyphers. Now living in the SF Bay Area he has expanded to Capoeira and East African Dance, Congolese, Samba and Afro Brazilian styles as well as developing his own unique 'Afloeiraflux' movement. "Dance is a true means and opportunity to celebrate the gift of life that we have been given. It is here where we can connect on a higher level through our body via sound vibrations of music." Rahan is an instructor of Capoeira and has been a guest dance teacher around the Bay including the Boy & Girls Club, College Track and Stanford University. Rahan Boxley is also a singer and songwriter.
Neil Magdamo is a DJ, Dancer and all around artist who resides in the Bay Area. Originally from Stockton, CA, he is a freestyle dancer training himself in different dance styles from Bboy to House to Popping to Lindy Hop. His inspiration to dance came from other dancers in Stockton and early raves parties in the Bay Area. He finds freedom through dance and music and believes it is a form of meditation and deeper self understanding. You can usually find Neil dancing in the cyphers or behind the decks sharing his passion of music. As a dancer Neil has worked with and been part of various dance groups and individuals throughout the Bay Area and the the Central Valley including Termites Crew, Transitions Crew, The Embodiment Project, Loose Change, Afro House Hop, SeeThinkDance.com, Evolutionfs.com, JBoogie, Sila , Nicole Klaymoon and Traci Bartlow. As a Dj Neil has played at different venues and events Including 1015, 111 Minna, The Endup, and Rebirth at La Pena Cultural Center. Neil’s music specialty ranges from Deep House and Hip Hop to Classic Soul and Old School. In addition, Neil has organized several dance competitions held in Mt. View and San Jose.
